
Now accepting community nominations for the Assembly District 76 Distinguished Woman of the Year.
Every year, we celebrate March as Women’s History Month to serve as an important time for us to appreciate the women who have left a significant impact on our lives and our communities.
As part of these celebrations, I would like to ask for your help with identifying women who live or work in the 76th Assembly District who deserve to be recognized for their positive contributions toward our community. If you know such a woman, please take the time to submit a nomination using the form found at the bottom of this page.
Nominations of women from all sectors and industries are welcome and may include, but are not limited to:
- Arts
- Business
- Community service
- Education
- Health services
- Social services
- Military
- Science and technology
- Sports
Submission Deadline is 11:59 pm on February 8th, 2026
The selected honoree will be invited to Sacramento to join Assemblymember Dr. Patel and the California Legislative Women’s Caucus to celebrate Women’s History Month with the "Woman of the Year" Ceremony on the Assembly Floor on Monday, March 16.

How many people can I nominate?
Please nominate as many names as you like, but submit a nomination form for each person. All fields below are required.
When will honorees be contacted?
Nominees will be reviewed and the Distinguished Woman of the Year in the 76th Assembly District will be contacted by February 20th.
